sup i need to know sum stuff b4 i get my snakes.

I wont to get some snakes for the first time but iv herd that glass tanks can be bad for snakes so whats the best thing to keep them in and whats some good books or place on the web to go to find out what and how to keep them happy and healthy? o i have like two pet stores close to where i live but there like 2houers away and there kinda **** all they tell me is feed it and wash the tank out and im good but i know that's not it. thanks for your help.:rofl:

Well welcome to the site! As far as a site to help you out; your on it. There's tons of very friendly people on here that are VERY knowledgeable and will be able to answer all of your questions. First what you should do is read around on the site through all of the sections and see if you can find your answer before asking. As for the glass tank, a vast majority (from what I've seen on the site) use a glass tank but not all of them. Some other options you have are a wooden vivarium (wooden box, glass front, built as you like) which you can learn alot about in the DIY section. Another one that's just as good as any other are the sterlite plastic tubs that you can get just about anywhere like walmart. It's all preference really, The glass tank are more for people that like they're snake to be on display. Hope this helps.

Have you read the FAQs on here? That will give you a good idea of what you need to set up before you get your snakes.
Glass tanks with screen top lids are fine for corns, you'll need an under tank heater with a thermostat to regulate the temperature and a digital thermometer to read the temps. Aspen makes good bedding, because the snake can burrow through it. Fake silk greenery and toilet paper tubes make good hiding places for the snake to explore and hang out in. You'll need a water dish too.
A separate lidded tub with air holes to feed your snake in is a good idea, giving you somewhere safe to put the snake so it won't swallow bedding along with its food, and while it's busy eating you get the chance to clean out the viv.
I love Kathy Love's book on keeping corns, she's a member here and very helpful.

ok you will need a enclosure(what ever you choose to go with) a under tank heater and a thermometer something to control the heat mat(a thermostat or rheostat) a substrate( I would go with aspen) a couple hides a water dish and then all you need to do is feed it a properly sized food item(1-1.5x the size of it's girth) and that's pretty much it besides spot cleaning when ever they poop which is like once every feeding.

and I forgot to say to keep the temp on the warm side at around 83-86 Fahrenheit and 70-76 Fahrenheit on the cool side

and you should really look up some care sheets( don't just read one read as many as you can find)
