She must have been hungry!

Feeding day for Niamh (her second meal since arriving). Mouse in the box (f/t). Niamh being placed in the box. She finds the mouse before she's all the way in, and pounces while still hanging on to me. She was constricting for all she was worth. So hubby snapped a quick pic before he helped me carefully unwind her from my arm, whereupon the mouse was the recipient of her "hug". She carried on and finished eating, totally undisturbed by the whole episode.

Here she is, mouse in mouth, while still wrapped around me :):

I figure she must have been hungry :).

Wow what a pretty snake!!

LOL, I have a couple of snakes that do that as well, it always makes me happy to know that they are completely comfortable with me to where eating with me around doesnt bother them.

On the other hand, I also have a few snakes that will not eat if I am looking at them. I have to put them in their own container and cover them up, or they will just sit there and glare at me while sitting right next to their food.

Cute! I have a couple babies that I hand feed, and I can walk around and wash water bowls, etc. and they just keep eating...

Fiesta also got fed today. First time I've ever watched. He sat there and rattled his tail at me the whole time--but he kept on eating. Next time, though, I won't watch, as it obviously bothers him to have me right there.

Niamh came from Beckers (Becky). I've only had her a couple of weeks. She sure is a beauty! She's fast, too. I wouldn't want to put her on the ground outside--she'd be off like a rocket, I'm sure. I'm already madly in love with her, as well as with Fiesta :).

My little one also does this to me. She drinks from her water dish holding onto my arm too. It is a nice feeling to know that she trusts me, but not such a nice feeling when my arm falls asleep.
