Tatl - 2009 Miami

Can't Keep A Secret
This is Tatl, a 0.1 2009 Banded Miami het Hypo, poss. het Cinder.

Tatl, along with her brother Tael, came from Captain's Colubrids (Thank you ArpeggioAngel!) as part of my prize from one of the photo contests over the Christmas holiday. :)

She's a fiesty girl that thinks she can fly. Her favorite pasttime is burrowing under the substrate, and then LEAP out of her bin when I start digging to find her. She's a rattler and even hissed at me once, though she's already beginning to calm down.

Enough of the talk. Photos!

First day home, April 6th 2010
Sorry the photos are through the lid of her bin. Better ones are coming, I promise!

Second feeding, April 18th 2010
Weighed in at 10g! :dancer: Also, she was in deep blue on this day, so her colors were verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry muted.

4/24/2010 Update!

By this Saturday (4/24) she had cleared up, but still hadn't shed. I noticed that she had a little flake of skin popping up over her right eye (you'll probably see it in a few photos) and decided to try the damp washcloth trick on her. She actually seemed to enjoy it pretty well!

Rockin' the pink washcloth

Evil eye. LOL!

She has a Mickey Mouse saddle!

Few more... sorry they are a little dark.

Shortly after the last photo, she pooped on the cat. So she went back into her tub.

Of course, she shed first thing Sunday morning (4/25). A good one, too! Hooray! So now I need to get more pictures. ;)

PS: The hands in the photos belong to my husband. Tatl is too wiggly for me to run the camera AND hold her. :p

Thanks for looking!

7/3/2010 Update!

I finally went outside to take some pictures of the Spaz Queen in full sunshine. :p

She last weighed in at 12g on June 13th, 2010. She's a little behind the curve right now after a regurge and the resulting treatment, which is a bummer. The good news, though, is that she's doing just fine, even if a little small. If anything, she'e even MORE fiesty than she when she arrived in April.

Pictures!

Just like her brother, so RED! Her background is a little more silvery, too.

Plotting an escape attempt, I'm sure.

Belly shot. She didn't really want to cooperate.

She can fly....she's just practicing so you're well prepared...

You may laugh now, but you haven't seen her LEAP out of her tub every time I go to feed her. :p If she does learn to fly, all heck will be breaking loose at my house.

I need to see that....send her to me so I can see it first hand...I'll send her back...eventually ;)

Most of that clutch was spastic! Not really surprised she is still trying to fly although I was hoping she would calm down for you.

Wow, she looks like a miniature version of my miami phae male, gorgeous! :)

See here http://snakearound.nl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=122 if you like .

Since baby's tend to lighten up a lot when they mature, I'm very curious what she will look like as an adult!

Oooo! Thanks for the pic/link! Your boy looks great!

Very nice! :D

Thanks!

She is SO pretty!! Love the post-shed pics :)

Thank you! I love getting the bright colors right after a shed. :)

Oh my goodness I loved Majora's Mask. Hmm... you've convinced me to buy it for my Wii. Cute wormlings!

Yay! I love when I use obscure (or even semi-obscure) names and people recognize where they are from! :dancer:

I really need to play Majora's Mask again, too... I didn't realize it was available for the Wii! I still have an N64 just I can play some of those old games when I want them.

We've finally reached an agreement on feeding day. So that is an improvement. Hopefully she will calm down further as she ages, but even if she doesn't, at least she's a different personality to work with. :)

Very pretty!! :)

Thank you! I'm really crossing my fingers that she proves out het. Cinder/Ashy in a few years. Even if she doesn't, though, at least she'll produce some nice colored babies!

Update 8/8/10!

Two babies shed last night, and one was Tatl!

She was actually surprisingly calm for the photo shoot. Enough so that I tried a new backdrop for her pictures today. A handful of blue dice in the bottom of the giant martini glass. :D

Maybe this is a sign she might actually going to relax as she ages. ;)

She last weighed in at 17g on July 13st.
