1 or 2 fuzzies

I was wondering should I feed my snake 1 or two fuzzies he has been having one fuzzie for about 3 months now. The fuzzie is about the size of the biggest part of his body. Should I feed him another or should I wait?

as far as I know.. I'm pretty sure that the only stage of feeding where you feed two of a feeder, is during double pinks. 3 months on fuzzys.. I think he would be safe to bump up to one Hopper by now. but weight of the snake would really help in knowing if your ready to move up a size or not. :)

Hope that helps!

Not a problem! :)

you'll be surprised at how fast they start to grown once on the double pinks! my little Guy jumped from 22 grams up to 26 grams and that was in only 5 feedings! and he's still growing like a weed! :D

What is the time/level ratio for feeders? I have a 14 month old lady that I just got and is having her second fuzzy from me today (I was given 4 fuzzies so I am guessing she is just starting them). Once I move her to jumpers, how long should she be on them?

It depends on the individual snake because they all grow at different rates. I go by weight - my own version of the Munson plan - and tweak it to each snake's needs. Check out the Munson plan for a rough guideline, but do be aware that it is an aggressive feeding plan and should be flexible.

I will usually double up a couple of feedings before I move up to the next size. Although, I do have some snakes that refuse doubles of any kind. So I just have to find them one slightly larger each time til they move to the smallest of the next size.
