Just curious

What kind of substrate is that?

And to your question, I think a background makes the snakes feel more secure about their surroundings, so that might be something to consider.

some t-rex paper pulp type..says 99.9% dust free...
but ya thats what i was thinking also about it feeling more secure

The hanging vines are a great idea. My snakes are not the climbing type they love to burrow though. so i add more substrate and kind of bury the hiding spot. THEY LOVE IT

LOTS of fake plants!! My 2 love it, i think they are turning into tree dewellers!!

And fake plant arranging is an art! Don't tell me otherwsie as i take great pleasure in sorting them out into the perfect shapes :)

Tula how on earth do you ever find your snakes in there?

I know their fav places, Vincent is ALWAYS sitting curled up in a tree, and tallulah is always either behind the house in the middile, or in her toiletroll fortress!

Lol! My snake tends to move around a lot and change where he rests, I would never find him if I had so many plants hehe. But it does look good.

A tip for where to find fake plants for little $:

Go to a Michaels or any other craft store. They sell the same type of fake plants that the pet stores do but for much, much less. I paid like $1.99 for the same type of plant that cost $8 in the pet store.
