I saw this too. I think it peaked at 178 viewers with most of them looking at the same thing. Only thing I can think of was that there was some online biology class or student gathering taking place and they all logged their computers into this site.

I thought it was a glitch as well, but the times of the logons made sense and they all had different IP addresses.

Hits on the banner ads also showed a proportional increase for that time period.

We'll probably never know.
 
Didn't think of that...

I thought it was was glitch at first too. Didn't think that maybe someone at another site may have had a link to that photo. It is a good one.
