I have cover the cage for two weeks...but it seems not work:awcrap:

thank you for helping....i will go to buy pinky tomorrow and try again...hope it will eat....
i was really worried ....

Hey man, I'm in a worse position. I'm going on 31.....I put food in there everyday. I'm wasting mad money. I'm about to give up.

As RobbiesCornField said, it's best not to try and feed it every day. Trying every 4 or 5 days will give both the snake and your wallet a bit of a break!

I've done that. Just recently I've bumped it to every 2 or 3 cause I don't know how much longer shes going to last. She moves slow all the time. I will say though, she loves being out of the tank. If I put my hand in she'll come and climb up it and when I try to put her back in most times she'll try and slide her way back up my wrist.

This is what I would do. Wait four or five days. Get a small container, with air holes. Like deli cup size, or margerine container size. Heat the pinky up to HOT. As hot as your tap water will go. Cut a few slits in the back of the pink, including the head. Put it in the container. It will start to cool down. You want it to be 102F when your snake is put in there. Put the snake in, making sure there is no way to escape. Cover it up with a towel and leave it alone for an hour, without peeking!!! Do this at or after dusk. If after an hour the snake has not eaten, reheat the pink and put the whole thing, with the snake in it and the cover on, in the snake's viv, with the lid closed, for the night.

I can't rep Nanci someone do it please:) Yes hatchlings eat better in a smaller container when its dark and they are left undistubed. Good luck guys:)

Tried it....did not work. She tried escaping the whole time it seems. After the hour I looked and she was trying to poke her face out of the top. I left it in there over night and she just fell asleep. Going on week 5 tomorrow (day 35). How long can they go, this is crazy I thought for sure I'd see her dead by now.

First off, have you checked and rechecked your viv temperatures? Too hot or too cold and the snake won't eat.
Secondly, I'd say stop handling or disturbing the snake at all, leave it completely alone for 5 days then try Nanci's feeding advice again and don't peek or disturb at all while it's in the feeding tub. Good luck.

I tried braining the snake by cutting a slit in the head. Let the snake smell it, and then it might become interested.

Braining the snake seems kind of harsh to me.:shrugs: But thats just me. I dont think that would make a snake eat. Next time try a mouse pinky. Don't give up on it, they can go some time without eating

I am a complete newb but any chance of trying small lizards or insects to try to induce aggression?I can imagine how sad and frustrating this situation might be best of luck..

Yea I've read in some places, people use small insects like crickets. Is that a possibility? Shes only 11 inches and 6 months old....

CONGRATS now leave him alone for 3 days not even peking at him and try a half of a pinky next time. Myb your pinks were just too big:)
