Im so happy - I stopped breeding some time back, and just started breeding again. My snow female laid 15 eggs last night and I can't wait to hatch them.

I have them incubating in an old Lyon TR7 I bought 7-8 years ago, but it still works great!!! They didnt have the accessories they have now. I may have to upgrade my unit with some new parts.

Does anyone else use this model incubator?

If I had the right container and the extension that comes with the new ones, I could probably incubate up to 100 eggs. How many does the hovabator hold?

Thats a good price though. WHen I bought this one several years back, I think I paid over $250.

Those are sweet incubators...

Many parrot, macaw and cockatoo breeders over the years have used that incubator, legendary reliability.
Thay never were inexpensive, Lyons makes very nice, professional breeder quality equipment, you get what you pay for. I use to threaten to buy one of those for years, back when I was incubating macaw eggs (and 4H show chickens), but never did.
There almost three hundred dollars, new, these days, and they've always been in the mid 2 hundred dollar range.

I've ordered from these guys years ago, back when they where on "EGGBAY" (poultry egg auction site, of all things.). They are the cheapest around when it comes to "store bought" incubator pricing...
$35.99 - $1649.00. ( U.S.)

Dartguy,

Those eggs weren't fathered by a certain "Big Fella" we both know, would they? If not, are you expecting any from him this year at all? If so, I would really enjoy seeing pictures of the "grandkids" when they hatch!

Hello!

Super happy to hear about your clutch! Who's the father of these ones? Would love to see the babies when they hatch!

I have a clutch of hognose babies that hatched over the course of this last week! So excited about them.

How is Rusty doing?

Oh, and how does your wifey like the incubator on the kitchen counter??? My hubby would flip!

Cheers,

Mare
