this might sound stupid but anyways:

How does snake ehh poop look like :santa: the reason i'm asking is because i found the mouse i feed my snake 3 days ago but yeah it look like all the fluids was gone and just the skin was left and half of it was kind of poopy lol

How do i know if my snake is drinking water? Because if i hold him above his water dish after i handle him for a while he drinks for a little while like he's really thirsty. The same happens to my female...does it just take a while before they know their viv's?

Hmm..my 2 cents

I am new but have seen a few poohs. What I have seen is a clear fluid with some greenish matter with black flecks in it along with blackish greenish fluffy/mushy(I know my descrip. isnt very good) stuff. I never saw anything resembling the prey item though. You could identify skin? Odd to me but I'm sure someone who knows better will chime in.
As far as drinking goes, if you see him drinking after you hold him why are you concerned. Remember they are more active when you are not(at night).
I believe I have read on this forum that if they are dehydrated thier skin will be loose.
For what it's worth!

With those details it is difficult to give an exact answer as to what went wrong.Obviously something is not right. The best way I can think of to describe snake poop to someone that has never seen one, is somewhat like bird poop. There shouldn't be much hair detectable (if any) at all as this is the first part of the mouse to come in contact with the snakes gastric 'juices' and should be digested.

There are 2 possible reasons for your find that I can think of now, either you,
1) fed your snake IN the viv and he/she didn't eat it and what you found was the dried remains, or ....
2) The snake ate the mouse then regurged it's meal. If this sounds possible (or you KNOW the snake ate that mouse) I suggest doing a search on "regurge" to better educate yourself on this matter as this can become quite serious.

As for drinking, snakes will find the water bowl if they have access to it. You have seen them drink so I doubt there is a problem there.

I hope that helps some.

I after i removed the poop i looked over the viv really good and found some brownish poop as well in the corner so i'm pretty sure it was poop. I dont feed the snake in the viv, i dont want the snake to think its feeding time everytime my hand goes in there. I'll look into regurging just in case and its probably a good idea to know this..thanks alot.

LOL you have had a big day, gone from snake poop to snake puke :puke01:

As Mary Beth said, read that thread and any others you can as there is a LOT of good information on the regurge issue, then feel free to jump in with any other questions you may have. What's the saying "a little knowledge is dangerous"?

The main thing is to relax, a lot of people have this at some stage (or they don't have enough corns  ) and everything will be fine if you follow the methods mentioned in those threads.

By the way, Hi, welcome and good luck. :wavey:

If you identified mouse parts its not poo, it is regurgitated... your snake threw up and you really need to read about it. Snake poop does not have any mouse remains in it, it is usally brown and white, like bird poop. Snake poo just smells like poo, a regurge will smell really bad and you will see mouse parts and that is a bad sign. Do you wait 48 hours after feeding to handle your snake? Did you maybe Feed it too big of a prey? The prey should only be 1.5 times the size of the snake at its largest part.

You probably want to wait a full week at least before trying to feed again, and then you want to go with something small.. even if it is a larger snake, you will probably just want to do one pinky. And then don't mess with him at all for 3 days and see if he can keep it down without throwing it up.

HTH

my snake is doing like yours above the water dish and i'm worrying the same way cause i'm not at home during 3 days.

a small update...everything is going great with both of my corns...eating good and no problems at all :santa: thanks alot to all for all suggestions and help...i really appreciate it :wavey:

Hello and welcome to the forum!
I was just wondering whether you keep your snakes housed together or apart? If they are together that may be why there was a regurge there...I was warned of this and other events that could happen if corns are housed together...Just wondering thats all!!V
