I just thought id post my first clutch of the year. Anery b x Snow breeders with a total in the clutch was 21. all hatched and so far 16 have eaten. snows, ghosts, anery b. if my snow is het for hypo does that make him coral snow? If so how about the hatchling snows? They have all been separated but ill post better pics of some in a couple days.

Well... if your Anery is really Anery B and not Anery A, that would make it a Charcoal, meaning that the resulting animals would be Blizzards (Amel Charcoal), Phantoms (Hypo Charcoal), Charcoal, and Hypo Blizzards. If it is Anery A as I suspect, then the resulting offspring would be Anery, Snow, Ghost, and Hypo Snows.

If your snow is het for hypo, then that means nothing as far as it's morph goes, other than it being het for hypo. If your snow is homozygous hypo, it doesn't change the morph name, due to the recent change in the genetic definition of coral. Looking at your snow, I would say that it is homozygous for hypo (but that's just a guess). However, I also believe that your "Anery B" is actually an Anery A. In order for you to get any Anerys or Snows in the first generation, your Snow would have to be a Blizzard, as the combination of Hypo Snow and Charcoal het Hypo Amel would only produce normals, hypos, and amels.

Any way you look at it, though, you still have some lovely babies there!

Hi Robbie, I keep reading your reply and for some reason? I thought anery a due to all the yellow on her sides and I typed anery b didn't I. I'm confused in the last part of your message is my male a blizzard? I was totally surprised when the ghost type hatched out last year, I do get anery a and b backwards therefore you are mostlikely correct. Now as for first generation breeding they have been bred twice and had the same results last year. I held back a ghost from last year and his colors are really nice. Never had hypo, amel, or normal out of them.

That was my fault for not wording that properly. Lol. It was supposed to mean that if your female really was Anery B (henceforth referred to as "Charcoal" for lack of confusion), then your Snow would have to have been a Blizzard in order to create the offspring that they did.
