This is my little male Amel Motley I got last Tuesday! He's my first snake. He had a very successful first feed and first handlings. No name is set in stone yet, but I'm leaning towards Dante. This is after the famous Italian poet and narrator of Dante's Inferno (and Paradisio and Purgatorio). His bright orange definitely reminds me of an inferno! :)

Couldn't really get a great picture, cause I kinda had a snake in my hand LOL, but at this point he had calmed down and was very still for enough time for me to get a picture. You can see how small he is and the size in reference to my forearm.

Beautiful snake!

I'm diggin' the pattern. Can't wait to see more of this little one!

I definitely see it being a Dante, but ultimately it is up to you! ;)

Hello :D and Congrats on your first snake!!

He's very very handsome! I'm glad everything has been going well for your new snake. Have you decided on a name yet? and I agree with jbax98 Dante is a very nice name.

Thanks guys. The first time I held him he looked really dull and his eyes were milky so i thought he was "in blue" but then a day later he looked like this, so i dont know what was up with that

Sounds like he could be due to shed soon! (The skin and eyes clear again just before shedding)

ah, interesting. He's due to feed tonight. I guess I can try to feed him but just not press the issue if he doesn't want it because he may shed soon.
