So I adopted a 4.5year old cornsnake off a teenage girl a few days ago. He is tiny! Around 1.5ft long and 55g. She told me he eats one pinkie every two weeks!!!! So obviously he hasn't got the right nutrition to grow. He also has the smallest heat mat I've ever seen and she told me it was a heat lamp but it's clearly just a normal house bulb so his viv was no more than room temp. He was also being kept on small animal wood shavings!! Nightmare. But i can't work out if he is definatly 4 and a half years, even with the bad care could this really stunt his growth this badly???
Anyways, he took 2 pinkies for me no problem and I'm gonna move him onto rat pups cause I was told they are more fatty and better for helping him catch up. Any other advice would be much appreciated!
