Pretty little face and nice set up you put together. Hard part is leaving him alone while he explores every nook and cranny.

Aw he looks so happy in his new viv.
Just a question in application to one of the pictures. The thermometer featured is the same one we have, but we put the probe all the way down into the bedding. Is that correct? I don't want to be measuring our babies' temps wrong :/

No that's right. :)

The probe for the thermostat should be touching the area where the snake actually lives and where he makes contact with the bedding. Putting it up high isn't good, because the UTH or other heat source thinks that it has to put out enough heat to make sure that the probe area's temperature is the temperature set on the 'stat.

you have a fantastic snake, I got my one 5 weeks ago he is 17 weeks old! It is so fun watching them grow each week, so glad i got a corn...wishing you many happy years together!!!!!!!!!!!!!x x x hayley

No you are right. I was measuring based off of having the heat lamp on alone. I was just doing little experiments trying to get the temp right. I plugged in my heat mat and the temp probe is all the way down in the aspen. sorry for the confusion. I should have noted that but I wasnt thinking about it.

thanks for helping out bro. I was just measuring heat lamp alone. When I plugged in the heat mat I moved it into the aspen.

ONE PROBLEM!!!!! HE NEEDS A NAME. Just a few little things about him I took the top off of the dish he was in and set it in the tank. Less than five minutes he moved into the hide on the cool side. Then a few minutes later he poked his head out and was looking all around. I left for about two hours and he was down in the aspen at the front of the tank when i got home. Then I had to replace the thermostat on the cool side because it was a cheapo so I just got to digital ones. When I was putting it into the tank he got up out of the aspen and came over to see what I was doing. He got really close to my hand I thought he was scared and was going to bite me so I just stayed still and he got to the point to where he was almost thinking about climbing up my arm and I thought about the fact that I couldnt take him out or mess with him so I didnt push it (hardest thing ever not to pick him up but I'm trying to follow the rules) very curious little guy and I love his personality. Sorry so long. Can anyone help with a name?

Good man :)

Oh and I'm glad I could be of help.

In response to the name question; since he's a friendly ghost, how about Casper? :p

Casper is a perfect name for such a friendly curious ghost. You got lucky and have a very mellow curious snake. Congrats again on the new addition.

Ah, BeemerMan... you've got the snake bite but good! (pun intended).

Nice little feller! It'll be fun watching his progression.
