a few shed questions

Well my snow shed for the first time ive owned it last night and it all turned out great. I was just woundering if measuring the shed is an accruate measurement of the snake, or does the shed like shrink or have any big differences in size? And is it ok to handle the snake after a shed, i want to get some nice pics..

thanks

Shed skin will stretch out as a snake slithers out of it, so no, it's not an accurate measure of a snake's length.

Do a search on "measuring snake", and I'm sure you'll come across a thread that mentions Serpwidgets snake measuring program, and where you can download it. It's about as accurate as it gets, and the only thing you'll need is an overhead .jpg of your snake.

regards,
jazz
