A Leash???

HEH

Always the Hoosiers who come up with wacky things. ;)

Cute page, as to whether it works..I dunno. =P

OMG. I have gotta post that on another site I frequently visit. Holy cow. LMAO

I must admit, my first thought was how do you keep it tight enough in order not to lose the animal. Of course the next thought is that it might hurt the snake. I hope not. None the less, it's a really different website.

"Is this a joke?

This has got to be a @%&*! Joke!"

hehehe that's funny.

Would be cool if it worked, however-but wouldn't snakes just be able to back or squeeze out of it?

It seems like it would only work with pythons or boas because of their big, back out of the leash proof head.

lol thats quite funny though!

I've been inspired!

I use tubs and racks. Some argue that these enclosures contribute to obesity in captive collections. Therefore, I'm going to make and market an exercise wheel for snake collectors. I haven't worked out all of the details yet, but in theory it will be similar to a rodent wheel only it will be for snakes!

Maybe this guy can give me some additional advice on getting started (or at least guidance on dealing with you nay-sayers)
:D

the best way I can think of for regularly exercising them, if you must, is to provide a mini-swimming pool with a current. Simply place the hungry snake in non-chlorinated water of the correct temperature and place the mouse on a string upstream. Adjust the current to match the pace of swimming of the snake. Not only is this a great form of exercise, and works all the muscles, they also get to eat afterwards (as you towel them off), and no chance of ingesting cage substrate - marvellous !! :D

Listen guys, as weird as it looks, thats a very viable concept. I'm waiting for da video to download as a type. hehe.

But it's just a handlers hook with a semi permanent and more snake-friendly hook. Check it out, its only to be able to keep a quick hand on the snake for when your luvly little labrador dementor shows up!

Sortof makes you feel stupid for not inventing it first hey!

CAV, I'll take two wheels please and I'll swop you for a herp-ball, you put it on da ground and da snake thinks it's slithering in freedom! It works for my hampster! :D

you know I actually saw someone use that thing on TV...I thought it was rediculous...I can't even keep my dogs on a leash let alone my snake LMAO

Well, the thing that 'convinced' me thats its a joke is the metal clip from the collar to the lead. This would be heavy and could cause damage to the eyes or scales. If it was a lightly elasticated collar with just a cord clip and leash it would still not work but might look slightly more workable.

I hope everybody just understands that when I say viable I don't mean good. Just viable.

The scary things just that its not a joke, Its like valentinesday, anything to make a buck!

LMAO! Me too. Jeez, rodent balls...leashes...mini swimming pools?? Hey, tell you what I'll invent a mini gym too and a pool bar. Now where did I leave my Hawaii Barbie gym workout set.....

*wipes tears away from laughing so much*

Next, we'll have a designer range of sporting jakets and such like! Like those ones people put on those ridiculously small dogs...

you have been beat to the jackets I saw a magazine pic of a snake wearing a Harley Davidson "Jacket" It was a wristband I think...LOL

Funny? Yes, but the video shows it working quite well. I would like to try one and have emailed him for a price. They laughed at the hoola hoop too.

I would never ever under any circumstances put one of this on any of my snakes. They furthest I would ever ever go with any snake would be using a tube for a short period of time.

I cannot see how this would be healthy on the snake. Dogs themselves who have worn collars and leashes for years can have back and neck problems from them if they aren't used correctly, I can't even imagine what one may do after prolonged use on a snake that is constantly pulling against it.

These creatures are not cats and dogs, they are not meant to be restrained in any way shape or form and to do so for something other than medical intervention is just going totally against the nature of the creature for no reason at all.

Snakes can be easily and simply controlled outside given they aren't little hatchlings, and without leashes.

oh my

haha, well they should be kidding if they aren't - i couldn't imagine puttin one of those things on my snake. i can't even keep one on my dog, nevermind letting my snake 'explore through tall grass in REAL sunlight' like the site says. hoo-boy.
