A nest...... again?

I don't know how it happened, but after laying eggs 2 month's ago, my female had a second nest last monday. The first nest wasn't any good, after two days there where no eggs left. This nest looks really good and healthy, but I've never heard of anything like this (at least not with corns). Could it be that for some reason she knew the first nest wasn't any good, then held on to some sperm to save for a better moment? I'm mean seriously, first nest 17 eggs, now 10.... how? Is it normal, does it happen often? Please let me know.

Thanx, Rik

Yes its very common and normally happens if you bred them again or not.
