A Question about Genetics

Hello,

hopefully this is the right thread for my inquiry.

We recently rescued a lovely slithering friend and we are wondering what type of corn snake she is, with respect to colouring and pattern. Perhaps she is simply a "garden" variety, but we are curious.

Here are some photos:

Would anyone be able to tell us anything definitive from the picture?

Thank you,

~ Allen & Jo

She appears (to my sleepy, half-blind, early-morning self) to be a normal, but there's certainly nothing "just" about her! That is a stunning snake and she may have some sort of red factor going on there. Very jealous!

Red Factor

Hello Shiari,

we appreciate your response.
We shall have to read up on red factor as we don't know what that might be.
;)
We can tell you she is very, very friendly and accepts handling very well.
We have yet to feed her, but she shed last night and shortly after that she evacuated her digestive tract. :p

We agree, she certainly is stunning to eye.

Thank you,
~ Allen & Jo

She looks like she could be a Locality Okeetee, they dont have the super thick black lines likes the abbots. Still a very stunning snake! Congrats! I hope she eats good for you all :)
