a question about shedding

Kvlt

Evil One
if a corn goes into blue, then right before the corn is gonna shed you feed it...will that delay the shedding since they usually dont crawl around that much after eating...or will the corn shed as normal?

did you feed it? sometimes they wont eat...I have one girl that eats no matter what. I had one eat before blue and then regurged because she was int he shedding process... and some wont take it... I hope this answers your questions...

this is just hypothetical...i was curious about this.
My female snow is the same she eats no matter what hehe

Some of my corns will eat regardless of shed cycle, some won't. Of those that will, some will regurge if fed too early in the cycle, others don't. Almost all are ok if they eat between coming out of blue and the actual shed. As far as I've seen, an in-shed feeding does not affect the shed timing whatsoever.

I usually hold back on the feeding if the shed is within a day or two of occuring, then feed her as soon as she's done as a treat XD

Normally, I would feed Treasure even if he is due to shed any minute, however this shed I decided to skip feeding him to see if its any different. Well, he has been blue for 3 weeks now, and doesn't look like he will shed for at least a week. I doubt this is due to not getting his mousey, but it is definately different!

To answer your question, in my experience, feeding during shed hasn't changed the timing at all. Venus and Treasure both eat (ate in Venus' case =/) during shed with no problems, not sure about Hunter yet hehe.

Yesterday I fed like normal, it was his day. I had no clue that he was about to shed. (He's an albino, and I'm color blind!). Anyway, 4 hours later he was brighter than ever, with a nice shed in his hide.

3 weeks?

Is it normal for a snake to be in blue for 3 weeks? Seems like an awful long time. (from Ginthas post)

Its not normal at all.. it worries me. Vet says hes fine tho. Hes finally "cleared up" again and am hoping for a skin tonight. No idea whats up with him. Could it be because of skipping a meal? (Hes missed 3 in a row now =/)

Heres some pics of how hes looked for 3 weeks: (sorry so big ~,~)
