A total failure

I've had my female corn for almost 4 years and was recently given an unwanted male by one of my neighbours. Almost immediately the pair got down to the business of mating.
They now appear to be inseparable.
The first batch of eggs, all 34 of them were laid on the 13th of last month. Although they were maintained in a propagator at 80 degrees with a high humidity level, all the eggs soon started to collapse and go mouldy. I've lost them all now.
The snakes have mated again since, and I don't want a repeat of my first disaster.
Any advice and comments would be very welcome.

As I am new to this forum, I would like to say Hi to all the other members.:)

I would check the temperature of the eggs very often. I've heard a lot of stories of incubators set at 80 degrees F but then reaching higher than 90 at various points during the day. Also if the eggs are in a box inside the incubator, make sure the temperature in there was not higher than the rest of the setup.

Hope this helps

My failure

Thanks for your response Elaphe_Mo.
When the eggs were laid I was taken by complete surprise, both with the short period of brumation and also the number of eggs. It was not only my snakes first time, it was also mine. I was totally unprepared and instead of a true incubator I had to quickly borrow a plant propagator. Hopefully I've learned something from my mistake.

Once again, thanks and I hope to hear from you again sometime.
