Activeness

My two snakes are hardly active at all. Most of the time they just go and hide(which I understand is totally normal). But is there any way to make them more active by any chance?

I find that the more hiding spots I have in my tanks, the more my snakes will come out. Fake leaves from the dollar store spread on the ground of the tank work really well for ground cover, and baby snakes love them.

As hypnoctopus says. About the easiest way to promote activity is to provide more overall security. Especially for younger snakes. They're more apt to roam as long as they still feel "hidden" while doing it. Half logs, smaller hollowed logs, fake plants, vines, fake leaves, vines, vines (i can't stress enough how much they all seem to LOVE fake vines when they're babies), just about anything they can crawl though/in/under to avoid detection.

That being said, snakes very much have their own personalities. So some of them, you can try every trick in the book and they'll still just hide out all the time, even into adulthood. Most snakes aren't really pets you get to "watch" but pets you get to "interact with". Since most snakes are crepuscular bordering on nocturnal, the thought of just trying to watch them is moot.

I agree with Nythain, even as my baby has not been feeling well, he sleeps all day on the cool side in a fake hollowed out log. He will stay there and sleep all day and then come out at night usualy like clockwork aroung 9:00 (ish) PM and then he runs around like a crazy boy until he gets tired. Once he tires out he sits on his favorite spot which is a damp Peat pot filled with Coco Fiber on the warm side. I wake up in the morning and hes back on the cool side in his hollowed out log and we do it all over again.
