Aggressive feeding - at 6 months!

OK, not TOO aggresive! :)

My question is, if you fed hatchlings on a certain feeding schedule, what size mouse could you get them up to in 6 months. Without undue stress, of course. And assuming everything else is near optimum conditions.

You tell me, your experience.

How fast, for example, could one get the baby eating 2 pinks, and on to fuzzy, or larger?
Thanks!
Rob

I would say it would depend on the individual. I have a little bloodred hatchling that is growing steadily but much slower than hatchlings I've had in the past. They all grow at different rates.

I currently have 11 snakes. Looking at their feeding record all but two were eating peach fuzzies or small normal fuzzies by 6 months of age. The two exceptions were grayband kings which were stubbord eaters. It took me a while to get them switched over from lizards to mice. Some snakes will reject a fuzzy the first few attempts because of the hair but will eventually come around.
