Am I seeing things?

This is the corn I thought was a standard Amel.
Today, upon closer inspection, the part I thought was "white" turned almost gray with almost a tint of purple or something. Some other "white" is actually bright yellow.

I am both worried and excited at the same time:

a)Is there something wrong with my snake??? :sobstory: Did it skin just turned "transparent" for some reasons and what I'm seeing is the exposed flesh or something?

b)It doesn't look like any morph I saw in the book. Sort of like a cross between hypo (gray saddle border) and amel (red eye). Is it even possible? :bird:

When amels are younger, the white around their saddles is often transparent. It turns more solid as time goes on.

Yup, what Vicky said. Their colours develop a lot over the first couple of years. Yellows especially become more obvious and vivid. The photo looks as I'd expect an Amel to appear.

If you've noticed the change over the last couple of days, it could be the early stages of going blue as well. Doesn't look that way from the photo, but as the owner and someone who sees it in the flesh on a daily basis, you're going to be more aware of sudden changes.
