Am I underfeeding?

First and foremost... I do not yet have a scale to weigh Bianca. I have tried so many local places and am about to give up and just order a scale online.

After looking over a bunch of pics on here, my girl seems kinda skinny in comparison. I have had her since December 21st and she has not had a single problem with eating so far. I alternate feeding her a pinkie every 5 and 6 days... eat, wait 5 days, eat, wait 6 days, eat wait 5 days... etc.

Our routine is she eats and I give her a good half an hour to relax before I get her back in the viv. today though, she had to smell every inch of my hands before she climbed on. Was she still hungry and looking for another? Heres a few pics and while I wait on responses I'm looking for a scale online.

I picked up a dig. scale at wal mart. It's in the cooking aisles...used for food prep. Reads to +/- 1 gram if I recall.

It appears your on the right track. Keep up the good work. Scales are a great tool. Not always needed. But well worth the money. I have one just because I like keeping track.

My mom happened to have a great digital scale. Just curious if anyone knows how fast a corn snake grows on two pinkies a week? Haya gained 4 grams in little over a month.
I saw a new baby hatchling at the pet store and I had forgotten how small Haya was when I first got her. It's exciting to watch her get bigger :)

That all depends on your snake Maizy, my daughters normal weighed 18 grams on the 12 of Dec, she wieghed 21 grams on the 4 before i fed her she pooped today so i'm going to weigh her again in a bit. Maizy is eating double pinks and she missed a meal in this span due to shedding.

Every snake grows at their own rate, I have Maizy's brothers and sister at work and all are fed according to the Munson plan, she is the biggest of the batch with one of her brothers 1 gram behind. the smallest still weighs 16 grams they are 4 1/2 months old.

Totally off subject but what color is she considered.....Beauty looks just like her & we have no clue as to what it's called....We're new to this snake thing ;)

I bought a diamond/jewelry pocket scale at Ebay (delivered to my house in 1 week) that I paid only 10 bucks...

Jonesy: she is an amel, short for amelanistic... meaning she has no black pigment.

jpccusa: yeah I was looking at those... can you tare with it so I can use a container on it as well?

You sure can tare it... As another piece of advise, buy one with max. capacity of 1kg...

She's slimmer than mine, but they eat more. I'm on the edge of overfeeding, just because I'm afraid they're hungry.

She's a gorgeous snake. Amels are my favorite. :)
