Embryology Rules
Just One More Verification of why Embryology Rules.

Besides the Fact that these are Twin Snake, what is even more interesting to me is that They Are Not Identical!!! The Head Patterns are different on the Two Snakes which means that there were 2 Different Ovums that were Encapsulated in the Same Egg Shell during the migration down through the Females Reproductive Tract. Most Snake Twins are Identical because it is One Ovum that Splits to form Two Snakes while inside a Single Shell. They also have 2 Umbilical cords attached to Two Separate Yolks.
Very Cool Indeed.-----Enjoy.

Cool! I've had a twin hatch before but they were identical but this is awesome! Again a new discovery. I wasn't even sure this was possible. But I guess it is!

Great looking twins! Great information!

My twin emoryis are almost identical this year and I was wondering about what you just proved out!

Really cool this is the first time I have seen photos of two snakes in one egg. What is the genetic make up of the parents? They look like one of the oddball hatchlings I had pop up in my clutch of Hypos this year.

Wow that is neat, good to know. Are identical twins usually the same gender? and are your twins both the same gender?
