Amel or R/O?

So there has been debate that my roommates corn might just be an amel even though I believe him to be a R/O. Here are some pictures let me know what you all think.

The rule I heard for RO was that the white border had to connect all the way around the red markings. On your snake the white doesn't fully connect and the orange does touch the red around the edges of the markings, so I would say amel.

His colors are so gorgeous!
 
Now that does look just like my Oscar who is amel. I have two little R.O. and even their borders are thicker. Very pretty. Thanks for sharing.
