An odd sleeping place

Phaedra

Witty phrase
I came home a little while ago and found Elektra sleeping in her vine plant. At first I thought she was constricting it because she's wound around it pretty darn tight as you can see:

You can't really see it but she's wrapped so tightly that the leaves are sticking through the middle of her coils, and I have no idea where her head is. I don't know how on earth she's finding that position comfortable to sleep in.

She's 11 inches long by the way (aww).

I'm going to get some clearer pics of her soon, but I just had to share these.

Don't you wish you could get better shots of those things? My new little Ultramel tends to spend her days in a little bonsai type tree. She gets right in the middle and I can barely see her and it's not that big a tree :)

I gave my other new one a plant and he's never been in it. Switched him out to a real plant last night to see if he might like it better :)

Look forward to seeing some other shots of her later :)

With permission, I'm posting a couple of shots I took of Gailleann today in her tree..

Wow, I want one of those trees for Elektra! Actually there's zilch space in her vivarium because she's already got two hides, a branch, a vine and a toilet-paper-tunnel. I'm going to get some more plants tomorrow since she loves them so much, but I have no idea how I'm going to get everything in there!

I picked it up at Wal-Mart. It says it's a bonzai tree. I'm assuming that means that it's growth was stunted. Gailleann actually has a piece of log off the end of Kieran's log (his was too long for his cage), that is stood on it's end with a flower stuck on the top to cover up the opening for her, then she has a incense holder that has a bit of bedding in it, but I've never seen her use it on the warm end and then she also has a few pieces of wood piled up on the warm end that she can hide in too. I've never seen her in there either. She's either in her tree or in her log end.

I like the live plants. These had the rocks already pasted across the dirt. I put one in Don Dorcha's cage that didn't and looks like he's been trying to burrow in that one. I'll probably have to take it out and cover it up someway. :)

All that in just a 10 gal tank :)
