Anery with no checkers but normalt pattern.

Mowgli

Straight from The Jungle!
Some danish fellow-forumaholic of mine showed me some pictures of her anery a with no checkers, but still normal pattern on the back.
When she told me it had an all white belly i thought Anery Motley - But then she sent pictures and it has normal pattern other than the belly.. And it is not hypo as it would be a Ghost then.. And i dont think it looks like a Ghost..
I dont have alot of IRL experience with Bloodreds (Diffused) or other double defects including it - But wouldnt the pattern be more blured out at this time (At this size of a snake) if it has Bloodred (Diffused) in it?

Normal back pattern IMO:

Is it is indeed :D
That is one problem of mine - I have never seen af Diffused in real life, and i will not give her an answer out from some pictures i have seen ;)
But wouldnt the sides be alot more blurred out at that sized snake? Or what? As i look closer the sides realy are blurred compared to normal anerys.. Hmm.. More oppinions! :D :D :D

I keep seeing the experienced keepers and breeders post about clear bellies popping up unexpectedly. The sides on that anery do not look blurred per se, but I'm seeing something that resembles diffused influence. Or I could be hallucinating. :)

Very interesting. I think I can see a slight amount of diffusion along the sides. But until test breedings are done with a full Bloodred/Diffused, there's really no way to say for certain. =/

I really love the infusion of the yellow so far down on such a young looking snake! That'd be the only reason I'd ever get an Anery such as that.

Unless of course a bunch of sheds from now its apparent that its losing its pattern and a color is spreading fast. I'd be interested in seeing that yellow expand. curious, though its true I also read that about the random corns popping up with just checkerless bellys. :shrugs:

It looks more like a Moltey to me. I've had Motleys with an almost normal pattern an a plain ventral.

Ya, I could see that being a motley. The side pattern is scrunched up, which is IMO definitely related to the plain belly it has. Whether that's one of our known genes or a new one, or just an anomoly... test breeding. :)

I agree. Motley. I have a couple motleys that have virtually NO closed circles on the dorsal.

But would it be an outcrossed motley since it doesn't show the defining characteristic of what makes a motley a motley? :grin01:

Otherwise, still a pretty darn nifty snake. I wish all Anerys looked like that. I might get one, if it did.

"And it is not hypo as it would be a Ghost then.. And i dont think it looks like a Ghost.''

Do I understand right that you thougt maybe hypo could be causing the white belly? As far as I know, hypo only changes the color of the belly pattern...
