Hello all, My family lives in Texas. We aren't new to snakes but I'm new to the cornsnake forum. We currently own one Blizzard corn, who will turn 3 in August, one Sineloan Milksnake, one Mexican Black Kingsnake and two ball pythons. We really enjoy our snakes, it's very rewarding to see them doing well and feeding well. I also find it relaxing to hold them, hopefully that won't sound wierd on this forum. :)

What brought me here in the first place was our Blizzard, Diablo had stopped eating in January. From reading other post I was able to figure out he was already in his spring mating ritual. He finally ate on April 4th and again on April 12th. So we are happy about that. After attempting to get him to eat several times, almost every week, I finally decided to try a f/t rat fuzzy instead of a f/t mouse. I don't know if the difference in the rodent is what helped to get him to start eating or not, just glad he did. So this forum really helped put my mind at ease but Diablo still got a trip to the vet just to make sure everything else looked good.

Glad to be hear and to keep learning.

Hi and welcome! :wavey: Sounds like you have a really nice collection. Glad to hear you're getting Diablo squared away. I'm a total newb to snakes, so that non-eating thing makes me pretty nuts as well.

Looking forward to getting to know you. Show off some photos of your collection if you get a chance!

Hey there, you and I have a common bond. LOL A black mexican king snake...my husband and son came out last week on a Tues. and picked him up from you! He is doing great, by the way, eating like a champ and coming out in the evening exploring around. Very nice temperament too.

Hubby and son did have a bit of a problem after they left your place. They encountered two ferrel hogs standing right in the middle of 380 between Greenville and Farmersville. Bill was able to miss one but hit the other one. The Farmersville police and fire dept. were very helpful, helping him with their wench to get the drivers side fender pulled away from the tire so they could continue on home. Geez..what an adventure that turned out to be! But luckily they were not hurt. I had "pig parts" hanging off my truck when they got home! yuck!
Good to see you on here and good luck with your breeding projects! Also thanks for the welcome!
