Another What Morph Is This Sry, lol.

I bought this little guy as a baby in December of '08. And I am very interest in what he might be. Mainly because if he is what i am suspecting he will go great in breeding plan. I've seem quite often the effects of the caramel gene as a het. My thought are he is at the least either Ultramel het Caramel or maybe a Hypo het. Caramel. The picture doesn't show him just great but in between his saddles is very bright orange/yellow. I'm leaning towards the Ultramel personally, mainly because there was a post in the for sale section a few weeks ago of some babies that were identical. But I'm quite aware the possibility of a hybrid. Thank You for your time.

I'm going to say hypo with the possibility of it being het caramel, but the overall yellow hue to the photo may be fooling me.

yeah my light wasnt cooperating with the pictures but thats a pretty good look at his color his are actually even brighter than the pic shows

ZoologyGirl's pic is the only one I see even when I click on the link I do not see a pic. . .The one in the pic by ZG looks like. . . I'd say ultramel but can't be sure as the lighting is pretty yellow by itself. . .

I wasn't going to say anything about the sand. . .If you look close it kinda looks like there is a second snake under the sand. . . suppose it could be a stick?

If you're using a substrate like that, please don't feed the snake in the viv. There's a good chance that your snake is ingesting it, and it is NOT digestible. And I'm pretty sure it's a bad substrate for corn snakes anyway.

ok can we get back on topic im fully aware of substrate choice and the overall consensus on co habitation. I'm simply looking for thoughts and ideas on his morph.

Sorry, didn't mean to derail the thread or anything, just concerned for the snake. It's either a hypoamelanastic or an ultramel.

If you go to my user page you'll see a pic of an ultramel and ultramel motley in my hand. Compare it to that. I would guess ultramel or hypo too.

If the pic Zoology gyrl posted is the one of the snake you mean then I agree with hypo.

As to the changes in subject if concerns were not voiced then newbies might think to hey with the "rules" and "guidelines" I can do it however I want and nothing will happen. We were just concerned. If you want a lack of concern another forum might be a better fit.

Anywho, I hope you can find out the color of your snake.

The pic kinda sucks insofar as to try to make an educated guess on whether it's hypo or ultramel...Lotsa "yellows" in the pic...Try one outside, out of direct sunlight, closeup and your flash on...or just mess with your settings :)...should give you a "truer" pic of the colors

No rules, just guidelines ;)...

What color are his/her eyes? They look like they maybe normal looking eyes which would lead me to think Hypo possible Hybrid. I think a little better pic when you get a chance might help..... Either way it is a good looking snake nice and healthly looking....
