Any oil field workers here?

Oil Field Trash
I'm bored in the middle of nowhere and I was just wondering if anyone else works in this industry. I do fracturing (fracs) for natural gas. Been doing so for about a year. 16-17 hour days so all I do is work, shower, play with ruby, sleep, and come on this website.

I work 12+ hours a day 6 to 7 days a week . Was hired as a frac up in ND then I quite moved back home and back to being a bridge carpenter . lots of hours great pay . But little time for a life

ND? during the winter? I can barely handle Texas winters let alone North Dakota. did ya'll wrap the iron and wellheads? I just took a week off. i went from 15-16 hours a day to 5 so I figured i better take off while its slow.

Hello to you to Julie

My husband works in the ND oil fields, about 11 hours away from home.

He says he'd rather work a ND winter than a Texas summer any day. We used to live in TX for 3 years so he is familiar with the heat! Being a native Wisconsinite, he's used to very cold winters.

My husband works in the oilfield as well, that's how I grew up, my entire family is involved in the oil industry from head offices to in the field. It means a lot of sacrifices for the kids and family time, it means daddy misses out on a lot of firsts, special school presentations, soccer games and holidays, but we make it work :)
We are in Alberta, Canada so the oil industry runs the province. My husband also worked a few months for 2 years in Arkansas and when my daughter and I went down to visit it was HOT! I'll take my cold winters ;)

you guys are crazy with that cold! i cant stand the 50s. it was 106 yesterday. 5 star, I thing Sanjel is from Alberta. they are all the way down here and going to Mexico too. I see a couple Canadians every once in a while. you can usually tell because they look miserable in the heat. Haha they look how I would look up there.
