Are Corns Nocturnal?

Hi,

I was wondering if corns are nocturnal or if mine is just an odd ball. ;) She's never out during the day and the person I got her from said that was odd. I know she is active in the dark because I've sat there and watched her in very low light levels in the late evening.

Usually she just stays curled up under her water dish during the day and will become a little more active around 8PM when she starts to slowly stick her head from under the dish.

Is there any other reason that she may only be active at night? It would be really nice to have her out during the day as I feel bad when I pull her out from under her water dish to feed her or show her to people.

Thanks!

well sort of ...crepuscular

Corns are Crepuscular for the most part. This means they com out at dusk and dawn. The prefer the darker part of both. This is when I see the most activity in my guys...

hope this helps.

Hey Absolutneil,
I have never heard the term crepuscular before I thought that Corns were nocturnal. Just goes to show that you can learn more on this forum.
Thanks,
Jimmy C.
