Sugar Gliders.
Both are female, going on 9 mos. old, and so adorable!

I was going to try to get one of those last year, but then found out they are Illegal to Own in Alaska. Not sure why, could be maybe it is possible for them to survive in the wild possibly.

I was going to try to get one of those last year, but then found out they are Illegal to Own in Alaska. Not sure why, could be maybe it is possible for them to survive in the wild possibly.

Certain states (such as Alaska) do not permit them because Sugar Gliders are "exotic animals" and, thus, it is to protect their native species (should exotic animals escape from, or be turned loose by, their keepers)... with some states being stricter, than others, about certain animals.
Alaska keeps a list of which animals are permitted to be brought in. Sugar Gliders are, of course, not on that list.
