At what point are they duds?

Ok so I have 2 eggs, from a clutch that has a long story, so to make it short, they've been incubating 83 low/86 high. They are day 59, and I know it hasn't been long enough YET, but how much longer after this should I go and then just give up? Curious... Thanks!

Have you tried candling them to see if they have veins? If no veins, then possibly they are slugs (are they yellow, hard, growing fungus, etc.). Pictures of the eggs will help with advice. They are way too dark for candling, I tried just today actually. Lemme see if I can upload pics...

If you can't see through them they may be developed.
I always candle my eggs a few days after laying. I can never see veins again after that

All my eggs fell off the shelf this summer and they almost all hatched!

That's how mine were. They usually dent like that before hatching. I think.

They dent before hatching. You are right at the beginning of normal incubation length. I wouldn't toss eggs till they were somewhere in the 90-100 day range, and definitely bad looking. You should see pips within a week is my prediction. If you gently feel the eggs, they will feel soft and thin on top.
