As some of you may know, I build bridges...
We make and put up most of the bridges in the UK.
When the Olympics came up in London, we done nearly all, if not all the bridges for the actual Olympics site (the stadium is accessed by a number of foot bridges)as well as about 19 bridges around London to help with the amount of traffic expected...
A new rail line was commissioned old lines revamped and new Rail Bridges were put in place....
Anyway... We have completed all the bridges and the final bridge is being built as I speak...
I got a couple of snaps of it to show you as I thought some of you may be interested in seeing this ahead of time...
This is the Athletes bridge that will bring the athletes from the Olympic village into the stadium, so I reckon this will be seen on TV around the world...
TBH none of us know exactly what the designers were thinking when they came up with this, but our general consensus of opinion is.....
It's supposed to represent the Olympic flame.... Well that's what we believe, but we are just welders and platers.... LOL
