Baby corn won't eat

Hello,

I have a baby female corn snake who is about 2 weeks old. When i bought her the breeder said she ate the wednesday before. I tried feeding her a frozen pinky the next wednesday and she did not eat. I then tried another frozen one on saturday; again nothing. I called the breeder and he said to try a live pinky. She is in the small deli container she came in now, with the live pinky and is showing no interest.

Should I be concerned? How should I proceed if she has not eaten it by tomorrow?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

First, are all your temps good? (about 85F on warm side is good, and about 75F on cool side.) Do you have plenty of hides on both the warm and cool ends?

I guess I'd try her Thursday with either a very small pink, or a pink head, hot- about 104F- in her deli, at dusk, covered up, leave for an hour without peeking. No handling between now and then. Let her de-stress.

The temp is a little over 80 on the warm side. and is 70 on the cold. and i have a coconut for the heating and a little half a Kleenex box on the cold side and she can burrow if she wants.

what is a viv? and my heating pad is called zoo med. and i have the smallest one for her tank. and he is in a 5 or a 10 gallon tank.

oh ok kool. :) so how many snakes do you have? i have two one is two years old and he is really great and never gave me any trubble his name is Augustus. but i just got a new one and her name is Lily, and she is only 2 weeks old. and she is being so annoying haha. with her not eating. but thank you for helping. :)

I have a question. You say the temp is 80. How and where are you taking the temp? You need to know what the temp is, on the glass, in the middle of the UTH.

oh i had a regular thermometer and it put it on the hot side first and waited and then checked. and then after i let it go back down to normal and then i put it on my cold side. but my condo heat is 20 c as well.

yes i put it n the hot side of the heating pad. it was good. just she is being a little fussy snake right now. i got told that i might have to poke a pin throught the pinkys head and she has to smell the blood and then she might eat it an if not then ring her back to the breeders.

yeah I would say go back to the breeder and get a more established snake. I had to do that with a water monitor recently and it sucks, but works out usually. Oh and be sure to keep the youngsters warm. Warm snakes are much morel likely to be hungry snakes.

Well, just give her a chance, stay in contact with the breeder, and don't let her go so long that she gets too weak. Say maybe one or two more tries and then let the breeder try with her. And I'd turn the heat up 5F.

yah she ate on monday, she is a snow and is white but her eyes did not change colour but she shed the same day after she ate the mouse. so im exstremly happy now. thank you to everyone who helped me out. :)
