Well. As some of you may know from that, Random-post-whatever-pics-you-want Thread. That I was tryin to breed my Kribensis Cichlids again. I took pics when the female laid eggs, they weren't great though, and some of the people in chat saw them :)
Well for the last couple days the eggs had gone, but I saw a load of little tails wiggling frantically. Finally today I found the family on their first little trip round the tank.
Dad looking after the kids. (His colours got all bright when I got the camera near his babies)

You know, there are a lot of people who might shudder when they see a picture of a snake becuase of some phobia, I on the other hand shudder when I see fish... dont laugh! Good luck though. Still getting chills....

great baby pics, Marty. I can never get good pictures of my fish, for one thing my parrot hybrid always gets in the way.

Awesome, Congrats! i have a pair of kribensis too. they breed often. and it's so cool to watch them take the little ones on trips for food.
i've had the most luck with breeding kribs. the kribs are usually good parents though.

Thanks, they really are my favourite fish, I love the way they can change colour in a matter of minutes. Their courting bahaviour and parenting skills are incredible to watch too. My other fish like tetras etc. just ... swim, lol that's all they do really. They are the easily the best fish I've ever kept. :)

I am totally besotted by weather loaches! I've had them in both cold and tropical setups, my first one lived 13 years. As well as the 'swimming thing' I love the way they hang out on top of the plants, and their eyes are more like a lizard's than a fish. I find my angels are beautiful but boring, but I'm sure if i bred them I'd feel differently, because they are cichlids too, they can change their striping intensity with mood and have seen vids of them herding their wrigglers about (yes I do the fish forums too)

Oh shame, I have to have at least 1 weather loach, they cheer me up! My current pair about 4 years old, they hang around together all the time. When Prendegast (my first one) died, I actually cried, and there was a ban on imports here at the time, so was totally overexcited to get this pair (Spot and Goldie) Sorry marty, you just got me thinking about my fish, and which ones I like the best

Hehe, It's okay. It's about time there should be a fish-keeping thread around here!

I think my favourite fish after the Kribs was my Corydoras Julii, I had bought a pair, but one died a short time after and I had the other for about 4 years before he passed away recently, He was a good bottom-dweller, and swaddled.. (My word, kindof like a waddle/swim = swaddle lol) along the bottom of the tank, Keeping things clean :)
