Bad luck with mice! (not mine)

Okay, so something really cracked me up tonight and I really had to share :p

My fiance, has the WORST luck with mice, and food, and well, cooking I guess.

First story.

Back when him and I were first dating, before we lived together, late one night we were up chatting on MSN. Earlier in the day he had gone to Taco Time and gotten a couple of burritos one of which he had saved for later. So we're chatting away, and he went and stuck his burrito in the toaster oven. A few minutes later he dissapears to get it out of the oven, and come back FREAKING out. Took me a few minutes to get the story out of him but when I did I just about died laughing.

He had heard a funny noise from the kitchen and had gone to investigate. As he goes around the corner he realizes it's coming from the toaster oven. Thinking that there was something wrong with the oven he yanked open the door... Just in time to see the house mouse that had been trapped in the oven (with his burrito) shrivel up and die. He said the stench of cooking mouse was like nothing he'd ever smelled before. Needless to say the burrito (still in the toaster oven) went straight into the garbage lol.

So fast forward to last night. Last night was feeding night for our two snakes. Both are on adult mice so I had popped them into warm water in a glass on the kitchen counter to thaw. When the were done I scooped them out... and left the glass of water on the counter. Few hours later, dishwasher is on so the tap is occupied, and Justin takes his vitamins... and grabs the closest glass of water that was at hand. Funny thing is I had passed it on my way out for my last cigarette of the night and idly wondered if anyone would be silly enough to drink it lol.

He confessed the second story tonight as we were hanging out chatting and just about turned green while he was telling me. He said he realized as he took the last swallow what had been IN that water and it all just about came back up hahaha.

I shared with him Wade's Misadventure with his glass full of pinkies and tequila and he felt a little better LOL.

Hope you all have a great night!

Hahahaaaa.....this is why I will never thaw mice in a glass....keeping it to bowls.....a specified mouse-thawing bowl.
