Well, sometime between eleven and two thirty today my non-feeder Meinwen died. She had taken three voluntary meals and been force fed twice, she was so weak would only lift her head briefly, and she hadn't drunk in two days. I don't know what was wrong with her, but I think she may have had problems she was born with, she had a spinal kink about two thirds on the way down her body. I am going to miss her :(

:( :( :( steve

So sorry to hear of your loss. I hope it won't discourage you from getting another one when your ready.

Thank you.

Thank you Steve and Alicia. I knew she wasn't going to hang on much longer so it hasen't hit me too hard.
She was my second corn, the first one I had no problems with until she escaped.
I'm thinking maybe this spring I'll get a Sunglow, but I haven't had very good luck with corns so we'll see.
Thanks again,
Jessie

I am SO sorry.

I'm terribly sorry to hear about your loss. I hope your loss doesn't keep you from getting another corn. If Meinwen had a spinal kink, there may have been other problems as well. Try to understand that sometimes it just isn't meant to be.

SORRY

see, i don't know a bijjillion about snakes, but if my one and only snake died (right now it hasn't eaten since before christmas) i would feel horrible, but i would just try another and maybe you'll adjust so much to it that you will like it even more than the other:)

I'm sorry to hear that... I Lost my baby too recently. Like everyone else said, don't give up... I know it sad but some just can't handle it. ::hug::

I lost two of my non-feeding babies from last summer today Jessie. It still feels awful, even though they were 2 hatchlings out of 90. My sympathy to you. I hope that you do get another when you're ready.
