Bad Shed

Suzy shed his skin last night - and before hand I gave him a bath so that it would help.

99% of it came off, but I helped with his tail (a damp cloth, and let him pull it through) but there is a little bit on his nose, and his eyelids are there (but loose).

How can I get it off his nose?

I can't use the towel method as he very rarely pulls his head out backwards!

I just washed his head under the tap to help

Ideas?

Cheers

Oh, he's about 1m long at the moment

You can put him in a container with some water. A few holes in the lid will allow him to breathe but will hold a lot of the moisture in. Even if he isn't under the water the moisture will loosen the skin. After a little while you should be able to remove the last of the shed.

i'm no pro but when the snake is about to shed again mist the cage and the snake a little more often the humidity helps with lifting all the skin at once.

The local pro here in my city mentioned this to me.

I put moisttissues over the earm end, and put in a wet cloth for him to sleep in, made it better, but still a bad shed copared to usual :(
