Bad Shedding Problem

Hello - my snake finally shed (which I was eagerly anticipating as her last one was bad). This time I offered a humid hide, when I handled her I would let her run through damp paper towels - so I thought we would be back on track for good sheds.

This morning, I wake up and find two little patches of shed. So I take her out, and follow the soaking protocol. I put her back in the tank and she starts to shed the lower 3/4. So that comes off nicely in one piece, except maybe the tip tip of the tail, but I think I got that off.

So now, the upper 1/4 needs to shed. I tried soaking again and all she does is desperetly run her nose into the sides of the soaking container to start the shed. She is also doing this on every surface of her viv. She went to sleep now in her warm hide and I called the vet and set up an appt. for Monday if she doesn't shed by then.

My question is - what can I do in the interim? After letting her rest for a couple hours I was going to try a soak again. Should I offer something rough for her to rub against maybe? With the current viv setup she has had good sheds for many many cycles until last time.

I am just very stressed out about seeing her struggle. Any advice would be appreciated.

*UPDATE*

So I took Jag out for a second soak, and I found a bunch of small pieces of shed in her viv. None came off after the soak so I think (I hope) she got everything off herself. My only concern left is that I only found one eyecap, however she has no signs of retained eyecaps - both eyes look clear and there is no loose shed around her eyes (or anywhere on her for that matter). Do you think I should still take her to the vet?

I'd try to photograph her eyes in some different lighting to see if you can see a retained spectacle. In my experience, it's actually VERY rare for that to happen.

Next time, I'd still provide the humid hide, but also mist her viv every other day. Lightly enough to put a fine mist on her plants and walls, not soaking anything. Then, cover the screen top loosely with plastic wrap- it just sits on top, isn't sealed- to keep the humidity in. You shouldn't be handling her at all during that period.
