Bailey - Recovery Progression

This is not a normal progression thread (Hatchling -> Adult), it's a recovery progression. Bailey (named by my little sis) is a fully grown (just over 4ft) normal/classic corn that has not had the proper care and has been neglected for some time (when I took her in, I had no idea when she was last fed or handled).

Unfortunately I don't have a good camera for the lighting in my room (my phone washes out colour and is grainy, my webcam is just pure grainy). Although you can see, she is very skinny and has skin folds :( She has lost nearly all orange in her colouring, although still nice and vibrant yellow on the sides

Congrats on taking in a wonderful snake! Can't wait to see this progression.

I love her pattern, and shes got great belly checkers.

Good luck!

She's definitely happier already. When I first got her, I could get her out of her viv and go for a mile run, come back and she wouldn't have moved, now I have to be careful even leaving the viv slightly open... she'll zoom off at any opportunity. Was just wondering what a good length:weight ratio is, don't want to over fatten her

Congrats on a beautiful snake. :)

Her length is fine. A good weight for her should be around 350 grams, give or take a little. For now because she is so under weight, I would feed her an adult mouse every 7 days. Once she get's to a nice loaf shape and good weight, then back her off to every 10. Good luck and keep us posted. :)

Oh she's so skinny! I'm glad you took her in. Those lines on her sides in that third picture make me cringe. You did a good thing, definitely. =) And she's gorgeous.

No new pics (she will happily strike me now she has strength and she's in blue so extra angry)

But good news, last time I weighed her she was over 500g, she has a better shape and is much more active, and really strong, had a death grip on my hand the other day
