Balence of Humidity

I have never before had a problem with humidity until now. All of Killa's previous sheds had been perfect untill this last one, maybe because it was in the winter but i dunno. His humidity ranged between probably 38 to 45 but the water bowl was on the cool side, today i moved his water bowl to about the middle of the tank, and now the humidity is between 60- 65? i dont know what to do or which is right?

The humidity in my house is usually in the 40's but drops significantly in the winter time. The range you stated doesn't sound to bad but the shed says it is  . If moving the water bowl raised it to much you could try a humid hide or misting the tank next time around. There strange creatures aren't they :D. Good luck!

Humidity around 40 is okay when not in shed. It would be a good idea to get the humidity up before a shed. A lot of my tubs have humidity in the 60% range all the time and I have no problems. So keeping your water dish where you are around 60% all the time should probably be fine if you want to do it that way.

Another option is to put in a moist hide for him to use during times that he will be shedding.

I've found that an average humidity of around 50% is enough for a good shed. I don't like putting water bowls on the warm side because then the snake is forced to drink warm water and it also promotes rapid growth of any bacteria present. I'd just mist once a day when they are blue until shed time, or provide a humid hide and that should be enough.
