im getting a corn snake soon and i was wondering how often i should bath it. correct me if im wrong please

soak it in room temperature water for 10-15 mins

will this help to loosen/soften the skin if he/she is shedding

You don't need to bath your snake at all, it's just that some people prefer to and a lot of those people don't do it regularly but just when shedding time comes around because yes, it does help loosen the skin.

alot of the people who do bath their snakes reguarly do so because they live in very dry climate where the humidity is very low. i live in a moderate humidity climate and i bath my snakes when it seems that they are starting to have trouble shedding, because it helps to loosen their skin.

But even if you live in a climate with low humidity, the water bowl plus ocassional spraying gives plenty of moisture for this species.

I give Frank a bath for two reasons. 1) He likes it. 2) He poops in the bath, which is a lot easier to clean up.

I think that second reason is why a lot of people do give their snakes regular baths.
