After waiting three months and trying to feed my yellow rat, he finally ate his first medium adult mouse of the season. His temps were always ~84 thanks to his thermostat and heating pad. He used to eat any old where like his little sister and I worried that he might not like the flavor/smell of his usual fare. I bought him a new frozen mouse from a nearby shop and fed him inside his tank after removing his hide.
Now to see if feeding in that spot is the key, likes the scent of that mouse, or needs it to be warmed with his little sister's food. I bet he doesn't even appreciate all this worry either. ;p I'll post pics when I can figure out how to reasonably downsize them.
