I had a clutch recently hatch out, and I noticed on one baby there is an indentation in the belly scales, about half an inch from the vent. It looks like an area where the yolk sac was absorbed... but I'm not sure. Any ideas?
 
That is what it sounds like. I have a snow that you can see a very slight vertical line about an inch above the vent, and when I asked about it, I was told that was there the Umbilicus attached while in the egg.
