So i am looking to buy a new corn snake as a pet for now and eventually as a breeder with my snow. Now i know that the snow is amel and anery, but i was wondering in all your opinions what is the best snake to buy so i can eventually breed the two. I have an idea of what i like but i want to see and understand the opinions of the experienced ones here.

So, in your own opinion, what would be the best snake to get to breed with a snow?

What do you want to accomplish?

There are SO many different ways you could go with a snow. You could go with a lavandar, and work towards opals, a caramel and work towards butters, a hypo towards ghosts...[edited to remove a bonehead error]

You have so many options. Amel and Anery are base genes for a LOT of the double homozygous morphs out there...

....Not sure how you're going to work towards a pewter by starting with a snow and a bloodred...

Well im really digging the motley pattern lately so i think i want it to be a motley. But im still really stuck on which direction i want to go with it. I really do enjoy the lavender and the bloodreds, but not so much the caramels. Yellows aren't really my thing. Any other suggestions?

Thank you for asking this cuz I was wondering myself as I have a baby boy snow that I might eventually breed. I'm wanting an opal, so I think I'll eventually get a lavender and hook her up with him.

How about something with several different homozygous genes so that you have the potential to produce quite a variety in the F2. An example would be a hypo motley or a hypo lavender motley if you can afford one!
