hi i went to the local reservior this afternoon (12-3pm) looking for some snakes and came up empty handed. it was my first attempt since i was a little kid. i know a ton of snakes are nocturnal so when is the best time to look for them? i mean when it's pitch black your not gonna see them at all....but is there a certain time of the day when they typically bask, or when you know they'll be hiding under bark and stuff. i think were i was looking today was pefect for snakes....tons of fallen trees and huge sheets of bark laying down in the sun everywhere.
