Best way to deal with stuck shed on tip of tail?

There's like 3 milimiters of stuck shed on the very very last tip of my cornsnake. He always has this problem and no matter what I do with the humidity or even providing a humid spot, he fails to shed that very last part. I might get a piece of drift wood, it did wonders with my ball python but I honestly thought moss would do the trick better.

I have that problem with several of my snakes. I just try to gently remove it, and if it's stubborn, a little water softens it up, and it slides right off.

I am afraid I can't do this. I have been able to remove the stuck shed this way in the past, by being extremely careful. It's really something soooo tiny and something so thin. One time I just failed to do so, I injured my snake and he ended up losing the very tip (like 2 mm of tail). I'd prefer to do that after all other options are exhausted.

Maybe one of those shed helpers (those bottles from zilla) or something like that plus everything else? Does he risks losing the tip again before his next shed?

When that happens to my snakes, I get a wet paper towel and let them slither through it while I hold them. I put gentle pressure on them and usually after a few slides through, the little bit of shed comes right off.

I've used them and am always amazed how well they work.

If you keep the humidity up next time he is in blue then chances are he'll shed it off with the next shed. Spray the shed aid on the tip daily towards the end of his shed cycle and see if that does the trick.

He just shed again, full piece with the exception of its tail... again. Should I try baths every 15 minutes until I remove the stuck shed? Seems kind of excessive to bath him just for that... He's being extremely squirmish, my hands are not allowed near his tail. Plus he's got a mean attitude and goes for skin everytime.

What about putting him in a closed tub with a damp towel? That way he can slither his way out of the tail tip. I would imagine that it's probably fairly sensitive and uncomfortable (why he won't let you touch it)

This is how I have bath them in the past. I put water on the small tub, then a damp towel and I leave them there for 15 mins. Then I do what @hypnoctopus suggested to do, let them slither through the damp towel.

Well seems like I managed to pull the shed this time. I feel like he doesn't want to use the very tip of its tail for anything. While he was taking the bath he rarely slithered his tail over the damp towel and I was watching him for a long time. Luckily the shed got dampened enough and I was able to grab a microscopical part of shed (must have been a single scale length wise) that was sticking out and as he slithered away the shed came out. It scared me when I saw a black thing in the shed I thought it was the snake tail, but it turns out it's just a dirty shed which makes sense since he's got it since a couple of months now.

Thank god for my tiny fingers.
