Anybody have experience ordering snakes from BHB? I'm planning to get mine at a reptile show coming up in my state, but my back-up plan is to order a couple of cornsnakes from them.
BTW, I enjoy Snakebytes tv! One of my vet techs recommended it.

Let me introduce you to the Board of Inquiry!!

Whenever you buy a snake, you need to research the seller. Even if it's ME!! If you can't find anything on BOI, do an inquiry there. Read all the way through every thread you find there. Sometimes the story changes.

This is very important, never neglect this step. This can save you a lot of heartache.

Well, that made some interesting reading!

Just because a company is huge, and has a large Internet presence, and really, really nice people working there, doesn't mean it's the best place to buy a snake.

There are lots of small to medium-sized breeders here on this site, where you will get a lot more personal attention and support.

It looks like Josh can point you to reliable local breeders, too.

Which is not to say _everyone_ here is guaranteed safe to buy from, just by their presence here. There is one breeder in particular who has been causing trouble for buyers for several years. Be wary of anyone who locks his For Sale threads so no one is able to show interest in public and people who have been screwed over are unable to comment.

I agree with Nanci. I will never ever buy any animals from anyone who locks their for sale ads. Why lock threads if you have nothing to hide and ppl have nothing bad to say?? Right? Unlocked means (to me) that they are open to questions from anyone. IMHO it means they are more honest.

the currect thread on the BOI is some very interesting reading about BHB.

PM sent! I can't remember the other guys name right now. You should try to get down to Cincy this weekend...a few of us will be there.

well, i was reading on bp.net and someone said they sold them a kinked snake, and they didnt even speak of it, which in my opinion they should have, because thts something u need to know before u buy, a snake, id try and buy from them, but idk.
