Is he warm now? Has he had a drink of water or done anything "normal" since you took him out of brumation? Can you separate him from the females?

Hope That He Dont Die

Thankyou For Your Help

Was he ok when you woke him up out of brumation, and how long ago was that? Was he ok the last time you saw him? Are the two females acting normally?

When you removed him from brumation, did you do it slowly or did you just turn on the heat and the lights and put him with the females? Are the prey items you are trying to feed him smaller than what he was eating before you put him in brumation? They should be. Has he had a post-brumation shed?

The way your first post reads, it seems like you put him in brumation, but instead of allowing the "season to change" to take him out of brumation, you just pulled him out and put him in with the females. I hope this is an incorrect observation, and it only reads that way because of your excitement, but just in case...a snake should be brought out of brumation very slowly by gradually increasing the length of time with light, and gradually increasing the heat, so the snake is convinced that spring is here. Itshould take a little while to wake them up. I would think that if you just tried to wake him up too fast, it could be extremely stressful for the animal.

I've never bred before, but I plan to next year or the following, depending on my females' growth rates. This information is not first-hand, but rather an assessment based on what I have read over the past few months. Take it for what it is worth...

Good Luck...

I'm thinking that this isn't the result of abrupt transition from brumation to normal temps. I don't do a gradual "wake up"-- mine go straight from the cold to the racks. I've never had a problem.

But the info in this quote just doesn't add up:

A corn needs about two weeks to "clean out" between its last meal and the temp drop for brumation. Reptilemt states that the male went one month without feeding due to brumation. Does that mean the snake only had a two week brumation period? I'm guessing not. I'm guessing that the snake wasn't "cleaned out" prior to the temp drop, and that the snake is now suffering from a digestive ailment as a result. I don't know if normal temps will be enough to fix this. A visit to a herp vet may be in order.

Reptilemt: I know you're concerned about your snake, but DO NOT start multiple threads on the same topic at the same time again. I won't delete the duplicates this time, but I will in the future. I believe you've already been told not to do this in the past.
